We developed New Vista’s vision for long term care with one thing in mind: What we would want for our own parents, or for that matter ourselves. It’s an approach that preempts anything and everything we set out to accomplish in our long term care program.

Our care mission emphasizes the following:

  • Maximizing each patient’s ability to regain function, range of motion and mobility
  • Fostering a positive and upbeat environment, where residents are excited about each new day
  • Promoting our residents self-sufficiency and independence, allowing them to accomplish daily tasks to their best ability.
  • Training our caregivers to be especially sensitive to the needs of all our patients.

Moreover, our Social Service department is actively involved with each individual resident, making sure they thrive emotionally, socially and physically.

New Vista’s long-term care program also addresses the needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other cognitive disorders. Care regimens are designed to enhance memory and cognitive function, while encouraging sociability. For those in advanced stages, New Vista offers a Snoezlen room as well as sensory therapies with smoothing stimuli such as light, music, and aroma.

Whether its an arm around the shoulder or a pat on the back, I'm so touched by the personal interaction between the staff and residents.

While I needed the skilled nursing of a healthcare center, the caring nursing staff treated me with tremendous dignity, respect, and warmth. .
